What we collect

• When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give us, such as your phone number, your company or setting, your country, the service you are interested in and your message.
• When you book a consultation: the details you enter on our booking page, which is run by Lunacal.
• When you download the free guide, apply for ongoing support or invite Ruth to speak: the details you enter on those forms, which are run by Zoho Forms.
• When you work with Ruth: the information needed to deliver the work, including notes from calls and sessions, and invoicing records.

How we use it and why

• To reply to your enquiry and follow it up. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
• To deliver work you have asked for. We rely on the contract between us.
• To send occasional notes on nursery finance and running a business, only if you ticked the box asking for them. We rely on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by replying to any email or contacting us.
• To keep accounting and tax records. We rely on our legal obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of trusted providers to run this website and the business:

• Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this website.
• Web3Forms, which delivers the enquiry form on this website to Ruth’s inbox.
• Lunacal, which runs our booking page.
• Zoho, which runs our guide download, ongoing support and speaker enquiry forms.
• Our email provider, and our accounting and professional advisers where needed.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they are required to protect it to the standard UK law expects.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and are then deleted unless you become a client. Client records are kept while we work together and afterwards for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. If you asked for our notes, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies and does not use advertising or tracking tools. If we measure visits, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.

When you follow a link to our booking page, our Zoho forms, Facebook or YouTube, those sites have their own cookie and privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, ask us to restrict it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email ruth@resourcefulruth.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF, telephone 0303 123 1113, ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
